Because it worked!  After the first week on Slim Fast, I lost a good bit of weight unlike other diet plans I had used.   Will Slim Fast work for everyone?  No, it will not. My answer: Yes and No.  I like the fact that it is just for women and a very encouraging atmosphere.  I do not like that they do not offer cardio equipment.  Everything is done pretty much in an "stations" style.  But again, everyone is different.  I do not doubt that Curves is a good place for some but it just was not for me.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What I do like is the &lt;a href="http://lm.logicalmedia.com/z/10476/CD6736/"&gt;Curves free fitness plan.&lt;/a&gt;  I signed up for one and they emailed me different exercises to do and even a free 30 day pass.  I like the fact that they give you a whole month to try out the facility to see if you like it instead of just a day pass like most gyms offer. I'm not one that loves to do cardio but I do it because I know it sheds pounds quick and is good for the heart.   Over the past year, I've learned to like cardio.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My second favorite cardio exercise next to dancing is working out on the elliptical!  It's not hard on my joints like the treadmill and is actually kind of fun.  I can even sway my hips while working out so it's kind of like dancing (I can't help it, I have to listen to music). When you get a taste for something, it's hard to get that out of your mind. It is my passion and luckily, a great way to drop some pounds. Dancing can burn tons of calories and is fun to do.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I mix dance moves into my almost all my workouts. If you weigh yourself everday, you will get discouraged.  BUT, you could get discouraged if you only weigh yourself every week and see no results between weeks.  That's where the tape measure comes in handy!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Measure yourself!  Measure your upper arms, neck, bust, waist, hips, butt and thighs.  Track these measurements in your journal with your weight.  When you don't see results on the scale it could be because of a number of things, one being the gain of muscle.  When you measure yourself, you see the results that were not on the scale!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tape measures are very cheap and can be found everywhere.  Do not buy one of those tool type tape measures that are used to measure wood, walls, etc. You can buy those specifically for weight loss or those for measuring fabric. I have recommendations from Amazon below so you can see the kind I'm speaking of. The answer is yes, I do take one everyday.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are many reason why I take a multivitamin in addition to my diet and exercise plan.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. I have a Vitamin D deficiency. My doctor prescribed my Vitamin D pills but I get the same dose in my multivitamin for a lower cost.&lt;br /&gt;2. It helps give me energy for the day.  I take my multivitamin in the morning to boost my energy and to get it over with (I hate swallowing pills!).&lt;br /&gt;3. It also provides nutrients that I'm missing as part of my weight loss plan.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I personally like One-A-Day Weight Smart Advanced.  I like it because of all of the above plus it promotes heart health.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are tons of multivitamins out there so research and choose the one that is right for you. I call it "cleanersize" I'll tell you, it looks immaculate now.  I would take pictures but I'm so darned tired!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You can actually burn about 200 calories an hour cleaning and that's "light" cleaning!  I was scrubbing floors, bathtubs, tiles, and doing much more than light cleaning today!  Although I do feel lighter!  :)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Also, I'm not just helping myself but I'm contributing to the home when I cleanersize.  I don't know about other people, but after I've cleaned, I always want to invite people over.  I like to show off too though. You can probably tell by my weight loss pictures.  Hey, when credit is due, it's due!  If you work hard to achieve something, whether it be losing 100 pounds or cleaning your home, you SHOULD show it off!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I actually wrote an article today about cleanersize. TLC was airing a show called "627 Lb Woman: Jackie's Story".  It was the story of a woman who couldn't even get out of bed!  Jackie was so sweet though.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;She ended up having gastric bypass surgery but because of complications of the surgery, she ended up deathly ill and having to stay in the hospital for months. See did end up losing a massive amount of weight but all for a very large price.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I did not want to be Jackie.  Jackie was like me in the sense that she wasn't always big but progressively became larger and larger.  Seeing her eat chips in bed made me stop my Cheetos fest.  Watching her struggle to just walk made me get out of bed.  Witnessing her pain and agony after surgery made me decide I was not going to get that far.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Thank you Jackie, you inspired me.  You helped save my life and direct me to lose weight and become healthier.  You helped my children gain a youthful and energetic mother.  A mother who didn't hope they wouldn't finish their meals so I could.  A mother who will be at their graduations.  A mother who feels like more of a mother just by being less. As most women who have children do, I gained an excessive amount of weight. With my first son, I gained 65 pounds. I only lost 10 pounds before getting pregnant again and gaining 50 more pounds! &lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I went from being the skinny girl who could get whatever she wanted and not gain a pound to the big girl who gained weight from just looking at a milkshake. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Six months after having my second son, enough was enough! I was tired of being overweight, out of breath and tired all the time. I had to do something and that something was lose weight. This time, my plan was going to work.
